2015 Silverado 1500 replacement listings commonly specify 22-inch windshield wiper blades; verify each arm and attachment type before ordering.

Check your configuration

Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.

Check the length and connector

A Chevrolet parts listing identifies a 22-inch ACDelco OE passenger-side blade, GM 84992571, for 2015 Silverado 1500. Many replacement catalogues also list a 22-inch driver blade, but compare both old blades and the connector style before buying. Do not assume every blade sold as 22-inch includes the correct adaptor.

Replacing wipers without damaging the glass

Turn the truck off and place the arms where they can be reached safely. Lift the arm only as the service procedure permits, protect the windshield with a folded towel, release the blade attachment and click the correct replacement firmly into place. Lower the arm slowly, wet the glass and test washer/wiper operation before driving.

  • Never let a bare wiper arm snap against the windshield.
  • Replace blades that streak, chatter, split or leave large unwiped areas.
  • If a new blade skips, check glass contamination and wiper-arm condition.

Washer fluid and winter care

Use washer fluid rated for your local temperatures. In winter, free ice from the blades and windshield before switching on the wipers; a stuck blade can damage the rubber or motor linkage. For a blade that moves slowly or parks incorrectly, inspect the linkage and electrical system rather than buying only new rubber.

Before working on your vehicle

Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
