2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Dashboard Warning Lights

A red oil-pressure, brake, overheating or charging warning may require stopping; read the actual driver-information message.

Check your configuration

Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.

Which lights are urgent?

The check-engine light, ABS, traction control, tire pressure and four-wheel-drive messages represent different systems. An oil pressure or overheating warning is particularly serious because continuing to drive can damage the engine. Brake warnings can indicate reduced stopping ability.

How to narrow down the warning

Record the exact message and whether it appears at startup, after a drive or during a specific maneuver. Check the correct 2015 instrument-cluster section in Chevrolet’s manual and read DTCs where available. Do not simply reset a warning without diagnosing its cause.

  • Stop safely for low oil-pressure or severe overheating messages.
  • Investigate red brake warnings before driving.
  • Use a scan tool capable of reading the affected vehicle module.
Before working on your vehicle

Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
