2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Recalls & Service Bulletins
Use the truck’s VIN to check open recalls; a model-year recall listing alone cannot tell you whether the repair was completed.
Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.
Recalls are VIN-specific
A vehicle may be included in a recall while another truck of the same year is not. Search the official NHTSA database or contact Chevrolet with your VIN. Ask a dealer to confirm outstanding actions and repair status, especially after buying a used truck.
Service bulletins are different
Technical service bulletins provide diagnosis or repair information and are not automatically safety recalls or free repairs. They may apply only to certain production dates, powertrains or software versions. Verify applicability before drawing conclusions from a symptom.
- Find the VIN at the base of the windshield or on registration documents.
- Check recall completion status, not just recall existence.
- Never postpone an urgent safety-recall remedy.
Where to verify Canadian trucks
In Canada, use Chevrolet’s owner support and official Transport Canada recall information alongside a dealer VIN check. A United States NHTSA lookup is helpful for reference but may not represent every Canadian-market campaign or completion record.
Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
