ELECTRICAL & FUSES

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Driver-Side Interior Fuses

The left instrument-panel fuse block is behind the access door at the driver-side dashboard edge.

Check your configuration

Confirm the engine, trim, drivetrain, market and installed equipment before using a part number, capacity or repair procedure.

The owner chart lists populated positions, not every possible cavity number. Check the installed fuse for its amperage and replace only with an identical rating.

Opening the driver-side cover

Open the driver door and remove the access cover at the driver-side end of the dash. The numbered chart below includes accessory outlets, body-control circuits, seat and cluster functions, and the run/crank relays. The manual warns that equipment differs between trucks.

Common diagnostic approach

A failed outlet, seat feature or body circuit may be related to an interior fuse, but the fitted equipment varies. Locate the circuit in the correct 2015 chart and check for other loads on the same protection device. Repeated failure points to wiring or component trouble.

  • Avoid prying against visible dash trim with metal tools.
  • Use the same amperage and fuse design.
  • Do not assume a missing fuse belongs in an unused cavity.

Checking accessory outlets

First confirm whether the outlet is ignition-switched or constantly powered and try a known-good low-power device. If the fuse is good but the outlet does not work, inspect the socket for debris and measure power and ground using a suitable meter. Never place metal objects into a live outlet.

Outlets, switches and power seats

The 2015 owner chart names left-dash positions 1, 10, 11 and 12 for several accessory outlets and feeds, position 8 for the driver window/mirror switch, and 41 for the driver power seat. Check whether ignition or retained-accessory power should be active before probing. A fuse that tests good may still have an upstream power or ground problem.

Why some cavity numbers are missing

The factory chart lists functional entries and skips positions that are not identified for the same configurations. Do not install a fuse merely because a number is absent from this table or the cavity appears empty; optional packages and production equipment matter.

Before working on your vehicle

Use the correct model-year manual and current service information. Stop if instructions or safety precautions are unclear, and use a qualified technician for work you cannot verify.
