What factory paint colours were offered?

Chevrolet’s 2015 Silverado 1500 brochure lists Deep Ocean Blue Metallic, Black, Silver Ice Metallic, Summit White, Victory Red, Brownstone Metallic, Tungsten Metallic, Deep Ruby Metallic, Rainforest Green Metallic and White Diamond Tricoat. Some finishes cost extra or were restricted to certain cab styles and trims. Names alone are not precise enough to match touch-up paint.

How to find your exact paint code

Find the original factory vehicle information or Service Parts Identification (SPID) label, often in the glove compartment on trucks of this generation. Look for a paint RPO such as GAZ or GBA and the corresponding WA code. Labels may be missing or the vehicle may have been repainted; a GM build record or paint shop can verify the intended finish. Confirm the colour and any variant with the actual vehicle before purchasing.

• A screen swatch is only an approximation; lighting and ageing change how paint appears.
• A tri-coat finish may require separate base, mid and clear coats.
• For a repaired or repainted panel, a professional colour match may be more reliable than the original factory code.

What the factory brochure says about availability

Deep Ocean Blue Metallic and Rainforest Green Metallic were listed as extra-cost colours. White Diamond Tricoat was extra cost, restricted to Crew Cab and unavailable on WT and LS in the Canadian brochure. A colour appearing in the brochure does not mean it could be ordered on every trim or market.

Ordering touch-up paint for a scratch

Record both the GM RPO and WA code, confirm whether the surface is metallic or multi-stage, and ask for a paint system compatible with your repair. Clean and inspect the damage before applying anything. If the scratch passes through primer or exposes bare metal, corrosion prevention matters as much as colour matching.
