2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Engine Specifications
The 2015 Silverado 1500 offered 4.3L V6, 5.3L V8 and 6.2L V8 EcoTec3 gasoline engines rated at 285, 355 and 420 hp.

Three EcoTec3 engines
All three engines use direct injection and variable valve timing; gasoline figures vary by engine. The 4.3L LV3 is the V6, the 5.3L L83 is the widely fitted V8, and the 6.2L L86 is the higher-output V8 on selected configurations.
Confirm the engine
Use the VIN and equipment/RPO information rather than relying on decorative badging. Engine selection changes service fill capacities, parts, towing configurations and often transmission application. The Silverado HD gasoline and diesel engines are outside this 1500 guide.
